Axiom is a local-first AI assistant for Windows. This policy explains how the Axiom application and this public website handle information.
01 / INFORMATION AXIOM PROCESSES
When you use local features, Axiom processes conversations, imported models, documents, project files, and application settings on your own device. Axiom is designed so this information is not sent to an Axiom-operated server.
If you choose an optional cloud feature, Axiom sends only the content needed for that request and your selected provider credential to the provider you choose, such as OpenRouter. That provider handles the request under its own privacy policy. You decide whether to use cloud mode and may remove your API key from Axiom settings.
02 / GOOGLE ACCOUNT AND GMAIL DATA
With your explicit authorization, Axiom can connect your Google account through Google OAuth and use Gmail API services as an MCP tool. This enables agentic Gmail work you request inside Axiom. The Gmail data Axiom can access, and the Gmail actions it can perform, are limited to the Google OAuth permissions shown to you on the Google consent screen.
Axiom accesses Gmail data only when it is needed to complete a Gmail-related request you initiate. If you choose a cloud model for that request, the Gmail content needed to process it may be sent to the model provider you selected, subject to that provider’s privacy policy. You can revoke Axiom’s Google access at any time in your Google Account permissions.
Axiom’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
03 / WEBSITE INFORMATION
This public website does not provide user accounts, upload forms, payment processing, or advertising tracking. Standard hosting and security systems may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, and request time to deliver and protect the site.
04 / SHARING, RETENTION, AND SECURITY
Axiom does not sell personal information. Local application data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the application. Information sent through optional cloud mode is governed by the selected provider. Technical website logs are retained only as needed for security and service operation.
Keeping work local reduces unnecessary data transfer, but no software or network is completely risk-free. Protect your device, account credentials, and API keys. Do not include secrets in prompts sent to third-party cloud providers.
05 / YOUR CHOICES AND CONTACT
You can use Axiom without cloud mode, remove locally stored data using your device controls, delete cloud API keys from Settings, and avoid visiting external links or providers. For privacy questions, open a request through the Axiom GitHub project.
